How big is a 3mm steel micro cone spike?
hello 
I got an industrial ear piercing about a month ago..and the bar through my ear is bioplast, so it's flexible and good to have in your ear during the healing process.
however, the bioplast bar I have is UV blue and I'm a light-skinned black person with dark hair and small ears so, overall its hard to see my new piercing.
I know that I'm allowed to change the ends on this bar, so I ordered some 3mm steel cone spikes to go at the end of my jewelry.
but I'm worried that what I've ordered is still really small.
can you please give me maybe an object I can compare the size of 3mm to?
if I had a ruler within my reach I would've tried that by now. a visual would be much better. my friend suggested maybe a standard ballpoint pen tip?.....
A stack of three dimes is about 3mm. (Three pennies is about 4mm)
