Does a broken fish fin get fixed in time?
I have brought 2 fancytail gold fish home, placed them with my commet gold fish. But i have noticed that one of them has its upper fin a bit brocken on the front side although it looks very healthy and has a very good appetite. Will the fin ever heal? Anything i can do?
If your fish is eating well & behaving normally then it's probably doing just fine as it is. To be on the safe side though, you should purchase something to help the healing process along a bit better. It may also be a deformity or a past injury that didn't heal correctly. I would just use some kind of fin medication & keep an eye on him.
Also, make sure that if you do medicate him that the medication wont have any effect on your other fish. To be extra careful, I'd suggest moving him into his own hospital tank for a week or so while you medicate him.
